Saudi, Japanese Firms to Launch New Game in MENA

Riyadh: Manga Productions, a Misk Foundation subsidiary, has partnered with Koei Tecmo to release Dynasty Warriors: Origins in the Middle East and North Africa on Jan. 17, 2025.

The action game, set in the iconic Three Kingdoms era of ancient China, will feature legendary battles and strategic combat. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Manga Productions will localize the game for MENA audiences, involving Saudi talent in its development, and manage its publishing and marketing.

Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, highlighted the region’s rapid gaming market growth and expressed excitement about fostering local talent and expanding the gaming industry through this collaboration.

Koei Tecmo President Hisashi Koinuma emphasized the partnership’s focus on delivering a localized gaming experience tailored for regional players.

This initiative marks a strategic step for both companies in expanding their presence in the MENA gaming market.
