Aramco Launches Global Robotics Innovation Award
Aramco, in partnership with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team and World Robot Olympiad (WRO), has introduced the Aramco Innovation Award to honor excellence in robotics design and technology.
The award, aimed at inspiring young innovators in STEM, will debut at the WRO 2024 international final, held Nov. 28-30 in İzmir, Turkiye. It will be awarded to the winning team in the senior future innovators category, selected from 48 teams representing 45 countries.
The prize includes an exclusive Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team Innovation Experience, featuring a tour of the AMR Technology Campus in Silverstone, UK.
Aramco VP Khalid A. Al-Zamil emphasized the award’s goal of fostering the next generation of STEM leaders, while Aston Martin engineering director Luca Furbatto highlighted its potential to inspire students through hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technology.
The initiative underscores Aramco’s commitment to nurturing young talent and advancing robotics to address real-world challenges.
