Asir Exhibition Showcases Region’s Rich Heritage
The Asir Manuscripts Exhibition has been launched at the House of Culture in the Ahad Rafidah governorate.
Held under the patronage of Asir Gov. Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, the event is organized in collaboration with the Asir Regional Development Authority, the Libraries Commission, the Asir History Center, and the King Abdulaziz Public Library.
The exhibition showcases a collection of manuscripts and historical documents detailing the region’s rich history, along with historical coins and photographs, some of which are being displayed for the first time.
In addition to the displays, the event features lectures and panel discussions, with experts delving into topics related to Asir’s culture, history, and heritage. One notable lecture, titled “Social Customs in Asir,” explored the region’s traditional customs and their positive influence on community cohesion.
The exhibition also includes a specialized workshop focused on the restoration of manuscripts and old documents and will run until Sept. 5.
